I am a high-volume cancer surgeon having done over 800 cancers, majority of them laparoscopically. I have  excellent outcomes with minimal complications . My stoma rates, anastamotic leak rates are below the national average. As one of the senior cancer surgeons I also act as a preceptor for my junior colleagues. I am the colorectal cancer lead and the Trust cancer lead at Sherwood forest NHS Trust.I have done over 4000 colonoscopies in the NHS and the private sector combined. My outcomes are better than the BSG benchmark. My average unadjusted caecal intubation rate is around 95%, adenoma detection rate ( surrogate marker for quality of endoscopy) is around 24% and patient discomfort is better than the average rate. All my lists on the NHS are therapeutic lists where I take away large polyps. I am one of the few colorectal surgeons who offer this. I have had no complications to date which is remarkable given the complex nature of work undertaken. As a patient you can be assured that you will have a high quality inspection performed.
